The main off-season target for the Boston Celtics will be heading to the Eastern Conference after making the decision to join the Cs.

Gordon Hayward announced yesterday evening that he has agreed to terms on a four-year contract to acquire the forward.  Hayward will be rejoining his former college coach Brad Stevens in Boston and cited him as a reason he left Utah in an article he wrote for the Player's Tribune.

Hayward was reported to have agreed to terms earlier in the day by ESPN's Chris Haynes, but did not make a formal announcement until later in the evening on Independence Day.

Last season Hayward logged 21.9 points per contest with the Jazz and added 5.4 rebounds per game.  He reportedly will make over $128 million over the duration of the deal, while he has an player option in the fourth season.
