The Rotary Club of Bangor who are the hosts for the Festival of Lights Parade have decided to postpone the parade to Sunday.

So instead of Saturday the 3rd, it will be Sunday the 4th beginning at 4:30 pm

The decision was made due to the anticipated rain and high winds expected Saturday afternoon.

City of Bangor City Council’s Chair Rick Fournier said

The return of the Rotary Club Festival of Lights Parade will bring people back together in our downtown district where they will have countless opportunities for shopping, eating, viewing the lights, and snapping the perfect selfie to share on social media. We look forward to seeing everyone

The theme for the parade is Imagine.

Here is what to expect.

80 glittering units. That will be a lot of lights.  Plus marching bands, both small and large floats, dancers and other performing groups.

Groups celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, New Years, Solstice, Kwanzaa, Winter. Anything and everything. Imagine.
