Bangor Area ‘Drug Take Back’ on April 28th
The Maine State Police have scheduled the annual Drug Take Back day for Saturday, April 28th for locations throughout Maine.
The Take Back Day is a way for the public to dispose of old medications in a safe, anonymous way. Acceptable medications include controlled, non-controlled and other over the counter substances.
The Facebook Event gives more points to their Take Back guidelines including:
- medication can be disposed in it's original container or without. Do remove your identifying information.
- Liquid meds are acceptable, but there are specific guidelines to checkout in order to dispose these.
- Syringes, IV solutions, injectables are not accepted.
- They are not accepting illicit substances like marijuana or methamphetamines.
You can bring your medications to dispose from 10 AM to 2 PM in the following locations around the Bangor area: Bangor Police Department, Veazie Police Department, Airport Mall, Orono Bells IGA, Brewer Police Department, Hampden Police Department and Holden Police Department.
