Acadia National Park got hit hard by Wednesday's storm, as did other locations in Hancock and Washington counties along the coast of Maine. According to the NOAA's National Weather Service website data, Bar Harbor saw the most rain in Wednesday's storm with 5 1/2 inches,. Acadia National Park got 3.81 inches.

The precipitation from the storm resulted in many roads within the park to be washed away. The park shared the news on Facebook Thursday evening that some carriage roads are closed and that some of the repairs will take several months for roads to become useable again

Visitors will now not be able to pass four specific road sections throughout the park. specifically locations listed as intersection 11 & 10, intersection 12 & 10, intersection 15 & 10, and intersection 11 & 13. Additionally, Acadia National Park's website has also listed the Wild Gardens of Acadia as a feature of the park that is also closed to visitors currently.
