Coming up at the Bangor Public Library, the Children's Department is offering plenty of fun holiday things to entertain the kids and give them some fond holiday memories to keep for a lifetime. Check out what's going on all December long to entertain and play with the kiddos- something for all ages!

Cookie Storytime

December 4th, the library will be hosting 'Cookie Storytime'. A story will be read to the kids while the kiddos decorate their own cookies. This is for kids ages 4 - 8 and will be 45 minutes long starting at 11 AM.

Nightmare Before Christmas Crafts

December 7th, the children's department will offer some Christmas crafting with a theme around the famous holiday movie 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. Kids will love combining spooky and merry in this event taking place from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM where there is no ages specified and 'children and families' are welcomed.

Teen 3D Ornament Workshop

December 8th, teens will be able to make 3D ornaments. This is set up for kids in grades 6 to 12 and will be a 45-minute event starting at 4 PM.

Holiday LEGO Club

December 9th, the Bangor Public Library is bringing a holiday theme to their regular LEGO club activity. This is for kindergarteners to 5th grade and will be from 4 PM - 4:45 PM.

Cookies, Cocoa & More!

On December 11th, prior to the Greater Bangor Christmas Parade taking place in the evening, come by the Bangor Public Library for cocoa, cookies, karaoke and crafting, starting at 2:30 PM. This is set up for kiddos 4 to 14.

Family Ornament Workshop

December 13th, the Children's Story Room will host ornament crafting to make and take home. All ages are appropriate for this event which will take place from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM.

Bouncing Baby Storytime

December 15th and December 16th from 10:15 to 10:35, a storytime for those 24 months and younger will take place that is themed around the snowman.

Tiny Tots Storytime

This storytime, taking place December 15th and December 16th from 11 AM to 11:30 AM, is specific for the kiddos 2 to 4 years old. The storytime theme is snowmen.

Teen Gingerbread House Workshop

Build a gingerbread house at the Bangor Public Library on December 16 from 4 PM to 4:45 PM. This activity is specific for kids in grades 6 to 12. All supplies will be provided but registration is required - call (207)947-8336 x 111 to register for this activity.

Gingerbread House Workshop

For the younger kids, another gingerbread house workshop will happen in the Children's Department of the Bangor Public Library on December 17. Two times are available for this workshop: 11 - 11:45 and 3:30 - 4:15. This workshop is specifically for kids 5 to 12 and, again, all supplies will be provided but, registration is required. Snowy Storytime

All ages are invited to this event happening at the Bangor Public Library for December 18th and December 29th. Crafting and storytime about wintertime will take place from 11 AM - 11:45 AM.
