Mainer's are seeing a lot of bears coming out in the spring right now! Have you ever seen a bear in person?

Kid 

No. I have not yet, but if the day ever comes, there is a good possibility that I will soil my pants, run like hell, and sob in the fetal position for hours and hours. This is why I stay out of the woods.

Sarah

No. I can't imagine how I would react to a bear in my presence but I have a feeling I would be so shocked that I might not move.

Cori

No. I have never seen a bear, in person. When I was a kid, though, my mom called us all in for dinner, one evening. We had been playing in the back yard, right on the edge of where the lawn met the woods. And about 5 minutes after we came in, she was standing at the kitchen sink, overlooking the yard--and right where we had been playing a giant black bear appeared. Needless to say, that was a little too close for comfort for her, and really freaked her out. Not sure what I'd do if I encountered a bear, but I am sure it's as unnerving as it is incredible to meet one in person.
