• They were also the first Korean girl group to enter the Billboard Hot 100
• The group kills it with online records throughout their inception with a few videos becoming the most viewed music videos within 24 hours of its release- also setting Guinness World Records
• They were the first K-pop girl group to win an MTV Music Video Award
• The group dominates YouTube with the most followers and most-subbed music group, female act and Asian act
• The ladies of Blackpink got in the group through tryouts by YG Entertainment in 2009
• The group was originally to be called 2NE1
• After 7 years, lots of training and no debuts, the girl group was set to launch in 2016, which involved several weeks of member reveals through media
• The girl group was originally to have nine members but ended up with only four after 7 years of development.
