This week we put the artist spotlight on Avenue Beat.

GROUP MEMBERS' NAMES: Sami Bearden, Savana Santos, Sam Backoff

WHERE FROM: Quincy, Illinois

CONNECTIONS: Perez Hilton, Fadia Kader, Matthew Panzarino, Sara Bareilles, Scooter Braun, Maren Morris, Naya Rivera, Will Smith.

TO THE POINT POINTS: 

• Two of the group members, Savana Santos and Sam Backoff were friends growing up
• The group formed when all Santos and Backoff met Sami Bearden at a theater camp in high school
• They are now based in Nashville
• The group is signed to The Valory Music Co./Tape Room Records
• The group's first EP, Avenue Beat, was released in July of 2019
• They were named as an 'Artist to Watch' by Sounds Like Nashville, Taste of Country, The Boot, NYCountry Swag and more
• The group was 2020's 'Next Big Thing' according to MusicRow2020
• The group was chosen as one of Music Choice's 'Country Rising 20' in 2020
• The group was selected as a 'Listen Up' 2020 Artist by CMT
• Avenue Beat was also a part of CMT's 'Next Women of Country Class of 2020'
• The group released a TikTok video called "Lowkey F*ck 2020' which went viral and is the basis of the full length song that the Z plays now.  The video garnered 11 million views and lots of celebrity and social media attention.
• The group added verses to their original 'Lowkey F*ck 2020' song and released 'F2020' in July of 2020, which you can see the lyric video for below and hear on the airwaves now on Z107.3.
