Snow is in the forecast for much of the Bangor area and Downeast Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for coastal Hancock and Washington counties for Thursday. A Nor'easter is expected to closely brush by Maine Thursday, bringing snow to much of the Bangor area and Downeast. Forecasters say accumulating snow will be mostly impact southern Penobscot County and the Downeast region.

The Bangor area could see around 2-4 inches of new snowfall. Coastal areas could see 4-8 inches of snow from the storm.
