And more importantly, why would you want to?

Everyone knows at least one person, who just refuses to put on actual pants unless they have to. It's almost as if they wear it as a badge of honor, or maybe they just think they are "supercool"

I am the first to admit, that I will rock a pair of shorts, well into October, but that is if, and only if, the temperature is above 50 degrees. Once things start getting chilly, out come the jeans!

Flash forward to this week, where there have been brutal wind chills, here in the State of Maine, and what do I see yesterday, a guy walking down the street in shorts. It made me shiver just thinking about it.

I have also seen it during a big snowstorm, where there are plenty of people at Hannaford, stocking up, but minus a pair of pants. Also, while we are on the subject, these folks that wear shorts, never seem to have much in the way of winter coats. It's usually like a hoodie or a windbreaker.

Not to be a total buzzkill here, but wearing shorts in cold weather can make you prone to hypothermia. Let's not forget our old friend, frostbite, which can happen in minutes in sub-zero temperatures, especially during a brutal Maine winter.

Look, if you are content doing this, more power to you, it is, after all, a free country, so knock yourself out.

I just happen to think you are crazy.
