Things will be a little different this year.

Normally, the Unity Fairgrounds would see thousands of farmers, gardeners, and other lovers of the earth gathering to be informed, buy products and to just have a good time.

But not this year.

Like a lot of other big events across Maine since the COVID-19 pandemic began, this year's Common Ground Country Fair put on by the Maine Organic Farmer and Gardeners Association will be virtual.

HERE for three days of live programming.

Now you may not be able to touch things, and hear or smell the sounds and fragrances of a real life country fair, but it sounds like it'll be a very cool experience nonetheless.   They'll have an online marketplace for purchases from vendors who would normally be set up in Unity.  Live streaming of all their guest speakers, demonstrations on how to grow vegetables, how to build things, train animals, along with many other farming and gardening topics.

Also throughout this weekend you'll have access to the MOFGA video library.

And yes, there is a poster available for this year's Fair, which is great news for a lot of folks who collect them.  Kudos to the organizers of this year's Common Ground Country Fair for making something once again for us all to enjoy, even in a pandemic.
