It’s almost time to start thinking about all things fall: pumpkins, pumpkin spice coffee, football, school, apple picking, changing leaves — and, of course, haunted houses for Halloween!

Located in the former Hollister location inside the Bangor Mall, directly across from Spencer’s, Maineiac Manor has become a must-visit destination for those looking for a serious scare.

Maineiac Manor now offers a regular schedule of creepy delights that are a ton of fun for horror fans.

The attraction features 6,500 square feet of scary good times, with mesmerizing sets, handmade props, and actors in killer costumes hiding in the shadows, and sometimes in plain sight, ready to pop out and scare the life out of you.

And yes, they’ll once again be open on Halloween night!

What’s a No Scare Event?

During a No Scare Event, guests can experience all that Maineiac Manor has to offer, including teasing of the senses — sight, sound, and smell (yes, smell!).

There will be no live actors jumping out to scare guests. Staff members will be available to answer questions and guide visitors through the haunt.

The advantage of attending a No Scare Event is that guests can take their time soaking in the many sights and incredibly elaborate details inside the Manor.

It also gives parents an opportunity to let their children experience Maine’s premier haunted house without the jumps and scares from the actors. Keep in mind, however, that animatronics, special effects lighting,
strobes, and fog will still be present.

What Is “Into the Dark”?

The lights go out, and your group gets just one flashlight to find your way.

Shadows stretch longer, sounds seem closer, and the fear feels even more real in this special blackout edition of the slasher haunt.

With only the faintest glimmers of light to guide you, who knows what might be lurking in the shadows?

How Much Are Tickets?

No Scare admission is $10, while the Full Scare experience is $20. "Into The Dark" tickets are $20

Tickets are available through the Maineiac Manor website or at the door.

These events are recommended for guests 13 and older, with the exception of the No Scare Event.

So, if you’re looking for some serious Halloween thrills this fall, Maineiac Manor is getting ready to open its doors once again.
