Two folks were arrested Monday morning, and multiple grams of drugs were recovered after authorities conducted a search of a residence in Clifton.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the drug bust took place around 7 AM.

"Deputies with the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office and the Penobscot County Special Response Team conducted a search warrant on the Scott's Point Road in Clifton, Maine. This search warrant was the result of a multi-month investigation into drug trafficking at the residence. During the search of the property, Deputies located approximately 315 gross grams of Methamphetamine, 4.8 gross grams of Fentanyl Compound, and an undisclosed amount of drug proceeds."

Arrested were 36-year-old Jessica Lovely and 54-year-old Michael Drake. Both were charged with Felony Drug Trafficking Charges. Lovely was also charged with Violation of the Condition of Release.

Authorities say that the investigation is still ongoing. Multiple agencies worked together over the last few months, including the US Customs and Border Protection, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, as well as the Brewer Rescue Squad, and the Holden PD.
