Forecasters are tracking Tropical Storm Isaias, with increasing confidence it will impact Maine.

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for all Maine counties. The National Weather Service says Tropical Storm Isaias will impact Maine Tuesday night into Wednesday. According to a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement, the main concerns are heavy rain and gusty winds.

Rainfall totals are expected between 1 inch and 2 inches, with central and and northwestern Maine mountains seeing the bulk of the rain. Winds may gust between 45-50 miles per hour at times. Coastal impacts include rip currents and high surf.

Forecasters warn of the potential for downed trees, limbs, power lines, and localized flooding. There is an elevated risk of isolated tornadoes this evening.
