    Belfast High BFFs

    Submitted by Alison of Belmont
My best friend has been in my life since we were in first grade. Being juniors at Belfast Area High School now, you can probably see that we have known each other for quite a while. I've always had a pretty normal life and a normal family but that was changed up a little when my baby brother was born and we had to get a bigger house. At the time this happened, I was in kindergarten at Lincolnville Elementary School. My family moved to the Belfast area soon after and I started first grade at Weymouth Elementary School. Thats where I met my (now) best friend and we discovered that we shared the same name. Although they were spelled slightly differently, we had an immediate link. Soon after, she began coming over to my house and she joined in as a member of the family. My parents always joke that she is their adopted daughter because she seems to be at my house more than her own. S ince we met, she has been to Virginia with my family, we have planned several surprise birthday parties for each other, and we know each other better than we know ourselves. Without my best friend, Alyson, my life would be drastically different and it would not be to my benefit. I don't know what I would do without her in all honesty and she deserves all the world has to offer. She truely is my best friend.

    Different but the Same

    Submitted by Josie of Penobscot

Truthfully, I'm not sure why Bec and I are so close. we're so different. She hates the music that I love, and we have such different styles (sometimes). But we're so alike too, she loves to turn the music up loud at 3 in the morning and dance all around the basement with me. She loves to go on spur of the moment swims with me, even though we should really be working on that art project that I'm supposed to help with (even though i can't draw a stick figure right). But I know for sure that I love this girl more than myself. she's crazy and beautiful and super confident, she's there with me, to laugh at my stupid antics, to video me dancing around in my pajamas to 5sos and Ed Sheeran, to push me to do things I'm afraid to do, she wants the best for me and I for her, we're brutally honest with each other, and sometimes we argue, but who doesn't? I love when she lets me rant about books, bands ( because everyone knows I cant shut up about Ashton Irwin, because please HAVE YOU HEARD/SEEN HIM? ugh) I love when she is herself because she is perfect! We get moody and yell at each other. but we get over it because at the end of the day, I know she's gonna be there to pick me up when I fall.... as soon as she's done laughing at my stupidity. She's the best friend anyone could ask for, I don't know where I would be with out her. I love you Bec!!

    Instantly Inseperable

    Submitted by Dezerae of Levant

Sarah and I have been best friends for 14 years and counting! We're one in the same and have been for as long as I can remember. We met at Dawn's daycare when we were 4 and we instantly clicked. We were inseparable up until 8th grade when I moved to Bangor. We still stayed close even though we went to different schools. At the end of junior year I moved back and it was like I never left! We're back to being inseparable as we go through all of the excitement of senior year; winning a cheerleading state championship, getting ready for college, going to senior prom, and graduating. I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else!

    One in the Same

    Submitted by Melissa of Guilford

My bestie Maia and I are close in so many ways. We are one in the same. We love all the same artists and the same show. We can talk about everything and anything with each other. We can joke around with each other without getting hurtful. She is always there for me when I need someone and I'm always there for her. She is the best and she is more like as sister to me then a best friend.

    Partners in Crime

    Submitted by Cheyenne of Trinity

To call her my best friend would be a complete understatement. She understands me like nobody else, she believes in me when the whole world is attacking me, she comforts me when I'm upset, she calms me down when I'm mad and visa versa. She is more than a best friend to me if anything she is family. She is such a good person inside and out, she makes me proud to have her as my best friend/sister/partner in crime. I know that i could not do what i have planned for my future without her, and my boyfriend behind me and supporting me 100%.

    Twerkney and Lyndon

Submitted by Lynn Dee of Hartland

Kourtney and I haven't been friends long but when we became friends, we instantly clicked. When we first met, we actually hated each other. But then we started talking. We found out we had the same interests. We love the same TV shows and movies. She doesn't get mad when I spoil a tv show for her and vise versa. When we hang out, we can just sit in a room with no talking and it won't be awkward. We give each other a look and we know what the other is saying. We have special nicknames for each other (hers is Twerkney because I saw her twerking once) and mine is Lyndon (because she thought my name was Lyndon Johnson after the president). So that's why Kourtney and I are close. She's my best friend, and my prom date.
