These next few weekends will be a prime time to check out the fall foliage of Maine before the colors start fading and the leaves start dropping.

Take the ultimate fall foliage tour with the special tour on the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad event happening for the next few weekends in October. This Saturday, October 9th, you'll be able to take a two-hour train ride starting in Belfast to see the beautiful colors of the Maine fall season.

This is a special fall foliage tour that will include an extended trip through Thorndike, along Unity Pond, into the woods at Burnham Junction, and back around to Unity Station.

Kids are $20 each and adults are $50 each.

You can check out details about this weekend's Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad Special Fall Foliage Tour from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Facebook event page.

If you can't do it this weekend, check out the 'Special Fall Foliage Tour' from Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad happening the following weekend on Saturday, October 16th. After that, there won't be much fall foliage to check out because our fall foliage peak here in Central and Northern Maine are nearly at peak right now.

You could still get some fall train rides in with the railroad's Pumpkin Express event starting Saturday, October 23, which will include picking your own pumpkin at the railroad's very own pumpkin patch. Not only to get a fun train ride experience but, you'll also be able to take a piece of fall home with you.  See the Facebook event for more details.
