There’s A New ATM In Downtown Bangor

Anyone familiar with Downtown Bangor knows that if you need to grab money from an ATM, you really only have a couple of outside options.

For years, if you wanted cash after hours, you pretty much had two spots to choose from; the Bangor Savings ATM off of State Street...

Or the ATM chained to the wall outside The Waverly Tavern.

Lucky for those of us who live in Bangor, there's now one more option! (At least there will be when we're all allowed to go out again at some point. And until then, it will wait patiently, right where it is, for us.)

The Bangor Federal Credit Union just opened a spot at One Merchants Plaza, about a half way between the Bangor Savings and Waverly ATMs.

The bright green ATM is well lit, very visible, and conveniently located right next to not one, not two but three mail boxes--so you could potentially mail out a bill whilst simultaneously withdrawing money from your account, effectively draining your bank account dry twice as fast!

In this day and age of technology and social distancing, its nice to have options. And while the nearest brick and mortar Bangor Federal Credit Union is either out by the airport or on the other end of the city, off Hogan Road in the direction of Sam's Club. So for those who bank with Bangor FCU, it's an added bonus to have this ATM nearby.
