Say goodbye to 2020, by ringing in 2014?

This miserable year is finally coming to an end this Thursday night, and since COVID-19 has changed just about everything, there will be no big gatherings, no watching the ball drop, no clinking of champange glasses, but The Nite Show with Danny Cashman came up with a pretty cool idea!

They have decided to stream an encore presentation of the “Nite Show New Years Mockin’ Eve 2014” special on their Facebook page in its entirety starting at 11:30 on New Years Eve. You can watch it here:

This special was done live in Downtown Bangor with WABI TV5 and included the ball drop at midnight from the top of Paddy Murphy's, performances from comedian George Hamm and Rustic Overtones at Penobscot Theatre Company’s Bangor Opera House, and clips and highlights from 2013 episodes of The Nite Show.

On the last episode of The Nite Show, they had a very interesting guest, the author of "The Last Days of Letterman" Scott Ryan writes about first hand accounts of the final 6 weeks of one of the most iconic shows ever. And probably a huge thrill for Dan, who is the biggest David Letterman fan on Earth.

And no holiday season would be complete without a visit from "Sock Puppet Santa" Via Zoom, the grumpy dude was excited about the prospect of taking Christmas off in 2020 to avoid infecting people with COVID-19.

Be sure to catch episodes of The Nite Show with Danny Cashman Saturday nights at 11:30 on WABI TV5/Bangor, Saturday nights at 10:30 on WPFO FOX23/Portland, Saturday nights at 12 midnight on WAGM-TV FOX8/Presque Isle, and late night Saturdays at 1 a.m. on WGME CBS 13 News, Portland!
