A doughboy and some tunes? Count us in!

The Bangor State Fair comes roaring back to town, albeit with an abbreviated schedule this year, from Thursday August 4th, through Sunday, -August 7th, at Bass Park. That means 4 days of rides, food, games, summer fun and of course, live music, including a performance from an old Bangor friend, who is coming back to town.

Bangor State Fair got the party started back in Ye' Olden Days, in September of 1849, that means we are looking at year 173. Ever since then, they have been pairing the best in recreational fun, and agriculture.

Carnival rides, musical performances, demolition derbies, fabulous fair food, games and more are also part of the experience.

The official Bangor State Fair schedule has yet to be released, but the music lineup has!

All of the performances will be held in the entertainment tent

Bullseye-Thursday, August 4 - 2pm to 3:30pm

Nate Ellsworth-Friday, August 5 - 4pm to 6pm

Way back in July of 2014, when the Bangor State Fair would do Media Day, ahead of the official kick-off, sometimes we would all get together and get on the rides, and maybe enjoy a doughboy or fries. One year, we grabbed a Go-Pro, and sent our then intern, Sara, on a brand new contraption called "The Fireball Roller Coaster Ride" The video may make you a little dizzy, but it has racked up thousands of views over the years.
