The ‘Free The Z’ Turkey Drive Starts Tomorrow Morning!

Help get the word out! It's almost turkey time in Brewer, and this year we REALLY need your help!

Hard to imagine this, but our annual Free The Z turkey drive will be here before you know it. Tomorrow morning at 6am, Z107.3 will once again move in at the Brewer Hannaford parking lot to team up with the amazing team at Penquis CAP, to collect turkeys and donations to help feed people right here in our community.

Last year, as the pandemic continued on, all of you came through in a big way, with a whopping 3,076 turkeys collected. Coming anywhere close to that huge number would be amazing, so once again we ask for your help. I hope all of you can help us make 2022 another successful Free The Z.

From school kids to teachers, to businesses, a former governor of Maine, TV stations, police officers, firemen, EMTs, pets, and nurses, we have had so many generous people either donate their time, services, and hard-earned money to this important and now iconic event.

Mark your calendar, and tell your friends that our 22nd annual “Free The Z” turkey drive begins tomorrow, November 15, at 6 am, in the Brewer Hannaford parking lot, and runs till Thursday night at 6 pm (assuming we hit our goal of 2022 turkeys!)

Unfortunately, due that ever annoying inflation, the cost of one turkey will go from $10, to $15 this year. That means we will have our work cut out for us, so please donate if you can! It will make you feel good...I promise!
