‘Free The Z’ 2024 Starts Next Tuesday!

Help get the word out! It's almost turkey time in Brewer, and this year we REALLY need your help!

Hard to imagine this, but our annual Free The Z turkey drive will be here before you know it.

On Tuesday, November 19, Z107.3 will once again move in at the Brewer Hannaford parking lot to team up with the amazing team at Penquis, to collect turkeys and donations to help feed people right here in our community.

Free The Z 2023 was another big year. After three long days, we collected 2,777 turkeys, before we left the Brewer Hannaford.

Because of your efforts, so many people right here in our community had a nice Thanksgiving meal.

From school kids to teachers, to businesses, a former governor of Maine, TV stations, police officers, firemen, EMTs, pets, and nurses, we have had so many generous people either donate their time, services, and hard-earned money to this important and now iconic event.

Mark your calendar, and tell your friends that our 24rd annual “Free The Z” turkey drive begins Tuesday, November 19th, at 6 am, in the Brewer Hannaford parking lot, and runs till Thursday night at 6 pm (assuming we hit our goal of 2024 turkeys!)

Unfortunately, due that ever annoying inflation, the cost of one turkey will be $15 once again this year. That means we will have our work cut out for us, so please donate if you can! It will make you feel good...I promise!
