Police have released more details about a double homicide in the Aroostook County town of Castle Hill, including the names of the victims.

Troopers were called to Route 227 just after midnight on Tuesday to a report of a suspicious noise complaint. Initially, troopers thought they were dealing with a collision between an ATV and a pickup truck, but quickly determined that was not the case when the bodies of 51-year-old Roger Ellis and 25-year-old Allen Curtis were found in the truck. Both men lived in Castle Hill.

The red Chevrolet Silverado is owned by Ellis, while the ATV's ownership has not been determined. Police say it's an unregistered 2006 Suzuki LTZ 400, painted black over the original yellow paint. Some of the yellow can be seen through the black and the ATV has a loud exhaust, which is likely what residents heard when they called police.

Both bodies were transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta for autopsies and the truck will be taken to the State Police Crime Lab for analysis. Castle Hill is located between Presque Isle and Ashland.
