Bangor, get ready for back-to-back nights of live music, from two of Maine’s most iconic artists.

Bangor Arts Exchange is an arts center and performance venue, located at 193 Exchange Street, and one weekend in September, they will host two fantastic nights of music.

Coming up on Friday, September 24 at 8 pm, the legendary 7 piece band, Rustic Overtones, will take the stage with their unique blend of rock, soul, and jazzy influences.

The band broke big during the mid-’90s in the Portland music scene, even scoring a record deal with Arista Records. After the band broke up in 2002, they reformed in 2007, and have been touring and recording ever since.

The doors open at 7, and the music will kick off at 8 pm. Tickets for this all-ages show $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the performance

A mere 24 hours later, on Saturday, September 25, the self-proclaimed “King of Maine” rapper, Spose will take the stage with his backing band, The Humans, and special guest, Bensbeendead

Spose, who hails from Wells, Maine, has had a very successful hip-hop career, not only here in Maine, but all across the country over the last several years. He has also tried his hand at more of rock-oriented sound with his backing group.

The doors open at 7, the show kicks off at 8 pm. This is also an all-ages show. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the performance
