A little ditty to hum as you dig out today!

As we sit here watching the white stuff hit the ground on a Tuesday morning, all you have to do is turn on News Center Maine, on WLBZ channel 2 in Bangor, and you will here the downright spooky, and now iconic "Storm Center" theme several times throughout the day. The music was created for big snow events like this, and is usually followed with tons of school and business closings. It has a way of sticking in your head, sometimes in an almost annoying way, and since we get
plenty of crazy winter weather, you hear it all the time.

Just about 8 years ago, WCSH in Portland posted a video of rapper, and self proclaimed "King of Maine" Spose adding some rhymes to the song. With shout outs to anchors Sharon Rose, the now retired, but ripped, Lee Nelson and former weather dude, Kevin Mannix, Spose lets you know that Storm Center serves everyone from Bangor, to Bridgton, to Casco Bay.

This isn't even the first interpretation! There has also been a speed metal version, one with a violin, one on acoustic guitar, and even a cartoon!

As for the King of Maine, Ryan Michael Peters aka, Spose is a rapper from Wells, Maine, who began rapping in eighth grade, but didn't pursue it as a career until he graduated from Wells High School in 2004, but has released several popular albums over the years.
