Shriner’s Parade This Saturday in Brewer
If you love a parade (and who doesn’t?) this Saturday is for you.
And if you would love to be in a parade, you could be.

This Saturday, June 19, at 11 a.m. the 2021 Shriners Parade steps off in Brewer. This is the initiation for new Shriners. And if you decided to become a Shriner today, you too could be in the parade. There will be 10 to 15 or more new Shriners, in a Shriners parade for the first time
This is the one parade of the year that all are at. All of the 25 to 30 parade units will be on hand. And each unit has 5 to 20 members. So you’ll see Flags, and the mini cars, Keystone Kops, and of course Clowns. This year there is a new unit, Anah Heroes, which is a unit of super heroes. Look for Captain America.
The parade route starts at the intersection of Parkway South and Liberty Drive in Brewer and proceeds along Parkway South to Pendleton Street and ends at the Brewer Community School.
This parade moves from location to location yearly, in June, and is in Brewer this year because the Potentate of Anah Shrine is the host. Next June, Houlton will be the host.
Anah Shriners Public Relations Director Dave Gulya
“Thanks everyone in the community for their continued support. And if you would like to become a Shriner, reach out now and join us in the parade this Saturday”
Full disclosure. Dave Gulya will be Captain America in the parade.
The Anah Shriners welcome all to the parade, and invite you to learn more about the Shrine and join in their events benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
