As we say goodbye to summer, we usually also say goodbye to our various theme parks in New England as they shut their doors for another season. But in the case of one of those theme parks, Santa's Village in Jefferson, New Hampshire, you won't have to wait until next spring to visit again...if you dare.

Santa's Village will open for two Saturdays in October, the 19th and 26th, to celebrate their annual silly spooky Halloween event. They promise there will a little bit of something for everyone. Plenty of fun areas for smaller children that are halloween themed, and a few "spooky" areas for the older kids as well. Shops throughout Santa's Village will be open to trick-or-treaters, and there's even a costume parade to celebrate all of those who dressed up to come to the park.

But what about the rides? All of the well-known rides at Santa's Village will be open during this special event except for the water rides (because nobody needs that in October). Not only will the rides be open, but the rides will be dressed up as well. You can expect some extra creepiness on everything from the antique cars to the S.S. Peppermint Twist.

Even though this is a Halloween celebration, it's still SANTA'S village, so you can expect Santa to make an appearance or two throughout the day. The silly spooky halloween celebration happens on two days in October, the 19th and 26th. More details can be found here.
