It's going to be a great day out there, Bangor, so why not take in the great summertime weather with some great tunes in Orono.

Orono is putting on their 'Summer 2021 Concerts on the Green' series which will go on for the weeks to come. The series started last week but there's plenty more live music to enjoy.

And what's better then enjoying these live acts for free in a beautiful park in the Bangor area! Can't get much better than that!

Here are the acts that are lined up for the coming weeks with the evening of music starting at 6 PM each night:

July 13th
Allison Ames Band - Classic rock, top country hits and country rock featuring one of the most popular female vocalists in the state of Maine.

July 20th
Jud Caswell - Maine Singer/Songwriter, winner of Kerrville New Folk Competition with “a voice fresh as water over granite and soft as a pine needle bed.”

July 27th
Tough End String Band - a spicy brew of acoustic music: old-time, bluegrass, jazz and more.

August 3rd
Gawler Family Band - Fun loving, folk-singing, fiddle playing family from the heart of Maine.

Mark these dates on your calendar and feel free to bring a blanket to sit on or a camping chair to sit back in. It's even encouraged to pack a dinner and bring it to the event.

For more information, you can contact the Orono Public Library at 866-5060 and be sure to follow the event on Facebook at  'Summer Concerts on the Village Green' for updates and to share with all of your friends.

Live, free music in the summertime in Maine!  It doesn't get much better than this!
