One Person Found Dead in Bangor Apartment Fire

One person was found dead inside an Essex Street apartment building Thursday night.

Bangor fire responded to the fire at 57 Essex Street at about 6:15 p.m.

The deceased has been identified as Christopher Pickering, 46. He lived in the apartment.

The results of the autopsy are pending.

The fire remains under investigation.
