One of Bangor area's favorite town festivals is coming our way.  The Old Town Riverfest will be happening September 28th and 29th and will feature all kinds of fun stuff for the family.

Every year there's a parade down main street, lot's of fun stuff for the kiddos in Binette Park and a great fireworks show.

The organizers posted on Facebook what's to come this year:

This years events will include some of our usual spectacular things such as, kids talent show, amazing fireworks, parade, pony rides, wagon rides, crafters, lots of food and SO MUCH MORE. This year we will have new acts and games for all to enjoy.

In year's past, the festival has had great local music acts including the Old Town group Carmen that hit the top of the dance charts in 2012.  Here's an interview with the group when they came to Riverfest in 2012.

The event's Facebook page announced a cool addition to the event this year - a theme of video games:

Participants will have the option to decorate Floats, Booths, Tables, vehicles, people etc, etc!! This year will be VIDEO GAMES!! Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Fireworks are planned after the homecoming football game on Friday, September 28th and the Brenda Sibley Memorial Ride will lead the parade on Saturday, September 29th.
