The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a teenager who died in a single-vehicle crash in Hudson on Saturday.

Chantell Hunt, 17, of Hudson was traveling on the Darling Road, near Sherry Drive, at around 1 p.m. Saturday when the accident happened, according to police.

The white Subaru, driven by Hunt, left the road and struck some trees before rolling over. Hunt was ejected from the vehicle before it came to rest in the roadway. Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation, but officials initially said it appears speed was a contributing factor. Hudson Fire Department and G&H Ambulance assisted at the scene.
