No Pie Sale for UCP in 2020 at Bangor’s Airport Mall
No pie. Oh no.
Sad to share that due to 'you know what', UCP of Maine will have to forgo their annual pie sale at the Airport Mall in Bangor. If you are thinking it's due to Covid-19, you're correct.
Andrew Lohman, Marketing and Community Relations Manger for UCP of Maine shared "Every year we look forward to our annual pie sale. Unfortunately, with the pies being made by community members and staff, the risk is just to high to be able to hold the sale safely this year"
Deb Perro from Eastern Maine Community College usually helps coordinate the pies and boxes.
The pie sale is of course a fund raiser for UCP of Maine, and they help people with disabilities with many needs. And they help people with different disabilities as well. If you can help to replace what they would have made selling the pies, you can donate directly to UCP of Maine here.
Now that I'm thinking of pie, and who doesn't love pie, I'll get to work on a 'What's your Favorite pie to eat with Thanksgiving Dinner. We'll get to that soonest. And as my Dad used to say, "Shall I save my fork for pie" when someone was clearing away the dishes from the main course. Yes Dad. For sure.
