Readers Digest just came out with a list of the Most Impressive Libraries in every state. And according to the criteria of "architectural achievements and grand collections", the most impressive library in Maine is the Bangor Public Library! Sighting the library's new copper dome as the highlight, the list also includes Maryland's George Peabody Library in Mt. Vernon, which serves The Johns Hopkins University, The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University and The Denver Public Library in Colorado.
