Milford Man Shoots At Would-be Marijuana Thieves

Police are investigating an incident in which a Milford man reportedly shot at people who were trying to steal his marijuana plants Wednesday evening.

Penobscot County deputies, along with State Police and Old Town Police officers, responded to the apartment on Main Road just after 10 p.m., but were unable to locate the subjects who had been attempting to steal the plants, according to a news release.

The male resident reported that he shot his firearm multiple times, forcing the two people to flee into the woods. Police said there is no indication that either of the people were hit by the gunfire.
