A Bangor man is facing charges after allegedly breaking out some of the windows at the Central Fire Station on Main Street.

Police were called to the fire station at around 1 a.m. Friday to a report of a man who was breaking windows. Responding officers saw David Bileau, 55, punch out one of the fire station's garage door windows. Further investigation revealed that a total of six garage doors windows had been damaged.

Sergeant Wade Betters says Bileau was allegedly belligerent and cursed out the officer and a firefighter, who had stepped in to help. He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and violation of conditions of release. Police say alcohol was a factor in this incident.

Bileau remains at the Penobscot County Jail.
