When it came down to picking the best pizza in each state in America, one here in the Pine Tree State towered above the rest.

Derosier's, located at 120 Main Street, in Freeport, has been serving up delicious pies since 1904!

They started out as a grocery store, founded by Augustus Derosier, who saved money from his railroad job to open the store, and is still family run, by fifth generation owner, Philip Derosier.

A bite of Maine history, literally.

You can grab pizza slices all day starting at $3.49, but if you have the appetite, and are looking for the most bang for your buck, you can grab a 14-inch cheese pizza for $15.

Or if you are looking for different types of toppings, they make a mean Buffalo Chicken Pizza: Medium size for $21, topped with blue cheese dressing and chives for that spicy, creamy flavor combo.

It is the perfect place to pop in for a slice, while shopping at the outlet stores in Freeport.

Other great menu selections include subs, salads, and during the warmer months, locally made ice cream treats!

Should your travels take you there, here are their hours of business:

Sunday 11am–8pm

Monday–Wednesday 9am–8pm

Thursday–Saturday 9am–9pm
