2022 Reservations for Camping At Maine’s State Parks Are Booking Shockingly Fast
It looks like the trend of enjoying the Maine outdoors is going to continue into 2022 after just the first few days of reserving camping spots at Maine State Parks proves quite popular.
On Monday we announced that all Maine State Parks are open for booking for the 2022 season and to start making your reservations now. And, it looks like, people weren't going to wait too long to start making their reservations.
Already breaking-records in 2022
The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry went to Facebook on Tuesday to let us know that the first day for reservations for Maine State Park camping this past Monday saw 5,469 reservations made for 2022. Compared to last year's opening day for reservations, this was a 26% increase.
Maine's great State Parks are continuing to be very popular into 2022 after seeing record-breaking attendance in the past few years due to the pandemic.
Reservations are being taken now
The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands started taking reservations for camping at all Maine State Parks starting this past Monday. Last week reservations were just being taken for Sebago Lake State Park and last Friday we were scheduled to begin reserving camping spots at all other Maine State Parks. With the state offices closed on Friday due to the snowstorm, we finally get to make our camping reservations starting Monday.
