Maine COVID-19 Patient Diagnosed In Lewiston; Traveled Internationally
The first presumptive positive case of the COVD-19 (coronavirus) out of Maine is by a Navy Reservist who had traveled internationally, according to a report at WABI-TV.
The woman came home from traveling to a country with the virus widespread but had self-isolated herself to her home when she came back with symptoms of the virus.
The woman he was treated at the ER at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Tuesday. The hospital will be restricting visitors to its facility starting at 9 p.m. Friday with few exceptions and is exercising extra precautions to screen patients and to care for patients.
As of Thursday the Maine CDC, has tested 65 people negative for the virus with 20 cases pending.
