Lunar Eclipse Early Saturday Morning
There's a chance for some cool sky watching early Saturday.
Folks on the West Coast will get the best view of a total eclipse. Here in Maine we will only see a partial eclipse right before the moon sets. This will be the shortest eclipse of the century, lasting only 5 minuets.
It begins at 6:15AM Eastern, or 4:58AM Pacific time.
The moon will glow with an intense orange or red color, making it a 'Blood Moon.'
With an early Spring storm brewing here in Maine, it's not likely many will be able to see the short show in the sky. Thanks, Obama...
