Look up tonight!

Stargazers have a good shot at seeing some shooting stars tonight. The Leonid Meteor Shower has been sending sporadic streaks across the sky all month. Tonight the meteor shower peaks with about 15 meteors per-hour.

The best viewing will be after crescent moon has set, around 11PM. They will be originating from the constellation Leo the Lion so look to the east. However, you'll likely see them all across the night sky.

Clear skies are in the forecast for much of Maine tonight, so it should be decent viewing conditions. The spacey event should last into Wednesday morning.
