It's been a long winter and a wet spring so far. So, it's time to bring on some nicer, warmer springtime with a fun springtime visit this Friday to one of the most beautiful spots here in the State of Maine.

Moore Manor Lavender in Newport

This Friday, the lavender fields at Moore Manor Lavender, located at 302 Stetson Road in Newport, will be opening for the start of the season.

Come and relax and peruse their stock

While it's a bit early for the lavender to bloom right now, Moore Manor will have their gift cottage open, have plants for sale, and have outdoor spaces available for rentals for weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and whatever other small gathering you are looking to have.

Starting Friday, you'll be able to purchase a few of their beautiful, but not quite blooming, lavender plants, which include: Hidcote Blue, Munstead, Phenomenal, and Rosea (white lavender) in 4” pots and 7” pots.

Open nearly every day

If you want to stop by and visit, you'll have plenty of hours to choose from when it comes to when you'd like to stop by. They will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. It is free to stop by and soak in the open fields.

No blooming yet, but they'll keep you updated

As we said, it is too early for their rows and rows of beautiful lavender plants to be blooming right now but, Moore Manor Lavender does a great job of keeping us updated on their Facebook page as to when we should stop by to witness the bloomed flower fields.

They state that the end of June is when we start seeing the blooming with the beginning of July being the peak of the blooming season. Frankly, you'll just have to watch your Facebook feed because they will keep us in the know.

Stay up to date with the lavender fields at Moore Manor by following their Facebook page 'Moore Manor Lavender' and check out their website for products and photo session info.

We stopped by last year to check out their blooming lavender fields and it was better than what these photos can truly show but... we can certainly try to translate the beauty of this unique and enchanting spot in Newport.
