Late Bangor Resident Portrayed In New Tarrantino Film [VIDEO]
When "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" hits the big screen this weekend, a former Bangor resident will be represented.
Quentin Tarrantino's star studded look at Hollywood during the late 60's at the time of the Manson Family murders features Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and a huge cast of actors including the late Luke Perry, who will portray Wayne Maunder, who was born in Four Falls in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, but was reared, along with four siblings, in Bangor, where he moved when he was four years old, and which he considered to be his hometown. Maunder graduated in 1957 from Bangor High School, where he played football and baseball.
Maunder moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and was the star of the CBS western "Lancer" which ran from 1968 to 1970. Maunder's last regular series, "Chase" which aired on NBC during the 1973-1974 television season. He appeared in several other television series during his acting career. Wayne Maunder died on November 11, 2018, at the age of 80.
