The popular local convenience store will close their doors next Sunday, July 16th

Kozy Korner Store in Orrington, which is up for sale, will be closing their doors, on Sunday, July 16th. They are still looking for a buyer to hopefully re-open the business up again in the near future.

On Wednesday, owner Mike LaBrie announced the news on Facebook with this post:

The store has a long history in the Orrington area. Originally known as Bob's Kozy Korner, it became Kozy Korner, when the original owner retired, and LaBrie took over the business.

When a fire broke out in a second-floor apartment at Kozy Korner, back in February of 2022, they were closed for four months.

Located at 2 Johnson Mill Road, in Orrington, this local convenience store features a small kitchen that serves up made-to-order sandwiches, pizza, hand-breaded boneless chicken wings, burgers, hot dogs, wraps, salads, and 13 delicious Gifford's ice cream flavors.

The hand-breaded boneless wings come with multiple sauces and 1 signature one called "sedge" named after the Sedgeunkedunk stream, which is located next to the store.

I can personally vouch for how delicious their food it, so if you have the chance before July 16th, you should see for yourself.

They will be liquidating current convenience store inventory and plan to keep most of their food menu going through the upcoming Endless Yard Sale, July 14th- July 16th, and Duck Race weekend.

The building is still for sale, at a pirce of $469,000. You can check out the listing here
