Looking for a way to get the kids out of the house without freezing their fingers off?  Here's a way to do just that, and do so with learning involved!  #ParentWin

The Maine Discovery Museum and the Bangor Public Library are teaming up to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

Both organizations are hosting kid-centered events to inspire creativity, explore science, nurture responsibility and learn more about this historic novel.

There will be two different dates, times and locations for all kinds of fascinating STEAM activities.  Kids will be able to build a robot, watch a demonstration to learn about electricity, create a toy monster and exercise their art skills by making monster masks.

The Bangor Public Library will start the celebration on Saturday, January 29th from 2 PM - 4 PM.  The library is requesting that you register for this event with the Teen Librarian by stopping by the Children's Department, calling 947-8336 ext 111 or email slayman@bpl.lib.me.  For more information, check out there Facebook event.

The Maine Discovery Museum will be hosting these same events on Sunday, January 28th from 1 PM - 3 PM. These activities will be free with regular museum admission.  For more information, check out there Facebook event.
