What jobs come to mind when you think about working at the airport? Pilots, obviously, and flight attendants. Ticket agents. And the people in the coffee shop. But there's so much more to making an airport run smoothly than just those jobs, from driving rental cars to directing planes through the skies, and everything in between.

Potential Careers for All Skill Levels

There are many openings at BIA, so a Career Fair is planned for Tuesday, June 18th from 11 am to 1 pm. Representatives will be ready to talk about many fields, including:

  • Ramp Attendant
  • Customer Service Representative
  • Operations Officer
  • Airfield Maintenance Crew
  • Rental Car Drivers
  • Garage Personnel
  • Air Traffic Controller
  • TSA Officers

Anyone who thinks they may be a good fit for one of these positions is encouraged to attend the career fair to learn more and bring copies of their resume.

The Career Fair will be held at 287 Godfrey Drive in Bangor, which is another way of saying it's at the Domestic Terminal at the Bangor International Airport. Once you get inside the terminal, signage will be in place to direct you to the Career Fair. Some of the employers represented at the event include:

  • Hertz
  • Choice Aviation Services
  • Piedmont
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
