Free BBQ & Movies This Summer At Riverfront Park In Old Town

It all starts tonight in Riverfront Park!

You can’t beat a BBQ and a movie in the park…for free!

Although it doesn't feel like it with all the cloudy and rainy weather we have had the last few weeks, Summer is here, so get out of the house, enjoy some delicious food, and some of Hollywood's biggest hit movies.

The City of Old Town is inviting the whole family to enjoy some free BBQ, followed by a screening of the blockbuster hit “The Super Mario Bros Movie”, tonight!

This event was originally scheduled for last week, but was postponed due to weather.

The BBQ runs from 6 pm-8 pm, followed by a screening of the movie at 8:45pm

In addition to the food, there will also be free drinks & lawn games for everyone to enjoy.

They are also planning BBQ & Wednesday movie nights on July 26, and August 23.

July 26th: Enjoy a BBQ, live & local music from the band Crossroads, followed by the hit film "The Secret Life of Pets 2"

August 23rd: Enjoy BBQ and the biggest pop cutlure event of 2022, "Top Gun: Maverick" starring the legendary Tom Cruise.

Next week, July 13th, they will host a performance by the 195th Army Band at 6:30, followed by a showing ofthe classic "Field of Dreams" at 8:45pm.

Donations are greatly accepted to keep costs low and support future events at Riverfront Park
