Lights. Camera. Terror. 👻 Old Town horror movie filming this weekend—extras wanted.

Maine resident Shane Grant is a local filmmaker who is based right here in Maine. His film, 2017 “Sleep Eaters,” is not only set in Bangor, but most of it was filmed here too. It is available to stream, on the free service Tubi

He is also the guy responsible for the annual "Bangor Zombie Walk" held each October in Downtown Bangor.

We have had Shane in the building for an interview before, and he is a great guy, with a bit of a twisted, yet very creative mind when it comes to horror flicks. But it doesn't end there, because he is set to make another movie, and he is looking for you!

This Friday, February 13th, at the Old Town Theatre (Yes, Friday the 13th!), located at 216 Main Street, from 7pm-10pm, there will be a massive live music event, with some heavy hitters such as SLAMPIG, In The Kingdom of Nightmares & KRULL, all taking the stage while film production begins. That's where you come in.

Tickets are $10.00 in advance, $15 at the door. Come help support independent film in Maine, enjoy some killer live music, and be an extra in the movie.

This particular film is slated to premiere at the Maine Underground Film Festival, a full day event that showcases bold, boundary-pushing films that reflect the grit, weirdness, and dark beauty of New England.

It all takes places on Saturday, April 25, from 12pm-9pm, at the Eveningstar Cinema in Brunswick.
