UPDATE: Former Maine State Rep. Susan Morissette Reported Missing
UPDATE: At 10:03am on Monday, March 6th, the Winslow Police Department posted an update on Facebook, announcing that Susan Morissette has been located safely at a friend's house. She is no longer considered to be a missing person.
### Original story:
Police are asking for the public's help in locating Susan Morissette of Winslow.
According to Winslow Police, Morissette left her house in Winslow around 1:30pm on Saturday afternoon and hasn't been seen or heard from since. She was reportedly on her way to see a friend for lunch in Waterville.
Susan represented the communities of Winslow and Benton in the Maine House of Representives from 2010 to 2012, and has also served as the vice chair of the Maine Republican Party.
Morissette's ex-husband, Wilfred Morissette, was arrested in 2014 for threatening Susan and members of their family with a loaded handgun. He was sentenced to serve a year in prison for that crime, but it is unclear if police suspect foul play may be involved with her disappearance.
