It’s Official — Five Below Is Coming to Bangor!

The rumors are true!

With 2026 well underway, new businesses continue to make their way into the Greater Bangor area—and one of the most anticipated arrivals is finally on its way.

“Hot prices. Cool stuff.” That’s the tagline of Five Below, the popular American discount retail chain known for trendy, low-cost products.

What Is Five Below?

Five Below is a specialty discount store where most items are priced at $5 or less, with a select assortment priced up to $25. The brand is especially popular with tweens and teens, but offers a wide variety of products for all ages.

Founded in 2002, the company has grown rapidly and now operates over 1,700 stores across 44 U.S. states.

Think of it as a modern, trend-focused twist on the traditional dollar store model.

Bangor Location Coming Soon

This month, Five Below is set to open a new location at 480 Stillwater Avenue in Bangor, taking over the former Party City space.
