Family Guy Star, Meg Griffin, Admitted to Bowdoin College

Even cartoons go to college!

Meg of the show Family Guy was admitted to a Maine College in the latest Family Guy episode to continue her education. Good choice, Meg.

Bowdoin College, located in Brunswick, accepted Meg as an early admission, according to the most recent aired episode of the long running FOX adult cartoon show.

Portland Press Herald chatted with Bowdoin spokesman Doug Cook about it's newest student. Cook mentioned that Bowdoin is the subject of many references on TV and in movies:

"Bowdoin has found its way into a number of TV shows and movies over the years. The college has been mentioned quite a lot on ‘Jeopardy!’ and we had a long run with ‘McDreamy,’ Patrick Dempsey’s character on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ who was a Bowdoin graduate. It was a surprise to hear Bowdoin mentioned on ‘Family Guy’ the other night; we’ll see where it goes."
