Let’s be honest, this summer was pretty amazing! I can’t count the number of perfect, sunny days we were blessed with, but fall is officially here. Sadly, that means food truck season is winding down across the State of Maine.

Food trucks have been around since the 1930s, but they really took off in recent decades, especially after the 2008 recession. Today, they’ve become a staple of the warmer months in Bangor and communities across the state.

Now, it’s time to wrap up the season with one last blowout this Saturday, October 17!

The Furniture Gallery, located at 614 Broadway in Bangor, will host The Bangor Food Truck Extravaganza 4.0 from 11 am. to 3pm.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Best Buddies in partnership with Maine Savings FCU.

Get ready for a full day of eating your fall feelings! The Bangor Food Truck Extravaganza will feature 10 food trucks serving everything from savory street food to sweet, over-the-top desserts. Whether you’re craving gourmet tacos, loaded fries, smoky BBQ, or ice cream, there’s something with your name on it.

My personal pick? The mouthwatering Jamaican jerk chicken from JJ’s Jerk Shack, a food truck I visited at least once a week all summer long!

Bring your friends, bring your family, and most importantly, bring your appetite. This one-day-only food celebration is the perfect way to squeeze in one last taste of food truck season before the colder weather settles in.

Speaking of which, it looks like sunny skies with a high in the mid-40's, so don't miss the foodie fun!
